About the Fan Club
We are fans of Petra Vlhová – from Slovakia and from all over the world. Since 2018, our fan club has been bringing together people who love skiing and support Petra on her journey. It all started with Miroslav Ledecký (our current president) and Petra’s father, Igor Vlha.
Today, we are a big community with over 55,000 fans in our official Facebook group. Some of us travel to the races, others cheer from home – but we’re all part of the same team. You can spot us easily: orange hats, Slovak flags, music, and smiles. We bring the spirit of Slovakia wherever we go.

What’s it like in the Petra Vlhová fan zone? A mix of fun, color, and true fan energy. We sing, we dance, we cook goulash, we wave flags, and we cheer like crazy – always with good vibes and love for skiing.
In the stands, you might see someone passing around homemade sausage or giving a little gifts to a skier. That’s who we are – warm, welcoming, and a little bit wild (in the best way). Check out the photos to see how we celebrate Petra and the sport.

Our Story
The fan club began in 2018, but the love for Petra started way earlier. Miroslav Ledecký and Petra’s dad, Igor, wanted to connect people who cheer for Petra – and it worked. What started small is now a worldwide fan movement.
We’ve been to races across Europe and beyond – from Jasná to Killington, Méribel to Kranjska Gora. We’ve laughed, cried, and cheered our hearts out. This is more than just a fan club. It’s a community. And Petra is the reason we all found each other.
What we do
We don’t just clap from the stands – we make some noise! Here’s what we love to do:
- Go to races and support Petra (you’ll see our orange hats in many places: Flachau, Semmering, Kranjska Gora…)
- Cook, sing, dance, wave flags – and make each event feel like a Slovak festival
- Share updates and info in our Facebook group: race schedules, start lists, live streams, fun giveaways
- Give small gifts to athletes and make new friends with other fans
- Plan meetups with other fan clubs – We love connecting with other fans, whether it’s at the parade in Sölden, the classic race weekends in Kranjska Gora or Semmering, or bigger events like the World Championships in Saalbach 2025. It’s always about good vibes, shared passion, and making new friends.
And soon, we have a big and exciting activity coming up – stay tuned to find out more!
Fan/fun facts
- Look for orange hats! That’s how you know you’ve found us – the classic orange beanies are our signature look.
- We bring Slovak flavors: Bacon, sausage, homemade pastries – yes, really. Fans often share food in the stands. Even in Méribel and Killington!
- We have our own fan club anthem! You can listen to it HERE.
- The cap story we’ll never forget:
At a race in Killington (USA), our fan club president Miroslav was handing out orange Petra Vlhová caps to fans in the crowd. The demand was so high, he gave away every single one – including his own.
The next day, he and his wife went on a sightseeing trip to Boston. It was super windy, so he grabbed the only cap he had – one from Mikaela Shiffrin’s merchandise, which he’d gotten as a gift.
And guess what? Just around the corner, Petra and her whole team showed up. They saw him in the Mikaela cap and burst out laughing. Petra jokingly said, “What’s that on your head?”
It’s now a running joke in the team – and a symbol of how fun (and friendly!) the world of skiing fans can be. - Call and response: At the 2022 World Cup final in Méribel, our group split into two halves – one shouting “PETRA!”, the other “VLHOVÁ!” for minutes. The whole crowd joined in. Even Petra and Mikaela were smiling on the podium.
- Kindness always wins: In Jasná 2024, Petra crashed during the race. For 10 minutes, there was total silence in the stands. Then, fans began to cheer for every other skier – showing real sportsmanship and respect. It touched people around the world.
